See you around then. And next time I'm in SB (read: Elsie's) I'll drop you a line.

i wish flickr had better layout and design

Yeah, I hear you on that one. But what it lacks in beauty it more than makes up for in speed, reliability and sheer usability.

You'll be proud..Im giving Flickr a shot and so far I agree with boh you and Timmay. I like the speed and ease of posting photos, but it feels less personal and I dont like that everyone's page looks the same. so, I guess i gotta do both for now...

buzznet speed and reliability has improved lately ... sheer usability? i'm not even sure what that means .... flickr feels distant and vaguely corporate to me ... also has too much empty white space in it ... perhaps flickr doesn't offer enough (to a fault) ... whereas buzznet offers too much (to a fault) ....

mebbe thetis has it right.

I like the archiving that it offers (most of my older pictures here were inaccessible--just plain gone) I like the flexibility of the galleries (that drag and drop re-organizing feature is a dream) and the ease with which one can join and contribute to groups and sets. Good stuff. Buzznet looks a lot better, I'll agree. It's still deadly slow (better than it was) but it frequently caused my website to hang while loading because it couldn't feed the syndicated images fast enough. The community here is GREAT. I've met some amazingly cool people and some have become my friends. I'll miss that. But flickr's coming along nicely in that respect.

I don't mean to make this a comparison between the two services. But I don't have time to pay attention to two sites and this one's been giving me a pain. I decided to choose the other.

Bye again, Will.

I joined flickr recently, but I haven't really been able to get my head around it.
I do hate all the suck-ass featured bands and faux-myspace-fratboy targeted Buzznet homepage, but I haven't been able to make the switch.
